Parking garages are high-traffic zones exposed to oil drips, tire abrasion, temperature swings, and moisture. Step 1: Clear & Clean the Space
The garage was closed section by section to minimize disruption. Each area was cleared of vehicles and debris. Using industrial vacuums, scrubbers, and degreasers, the floor was cleaned to remove oil, dirt, and contaminants that could interfere with adhesion.
Step 2: Surface Preperation
The concrete surface was mechanically ground to expose fresh substrate and create a profile for optimal bonding. Minor cracks and expansion joints were repaired with flexible epoxy fillers compatible with TIGERFLEX™ .
Step 3: Mix the Epoxy
Following the exact mixing ratio, the two components of TIGERFLEX™ were blended using a low-speed mixer. Care was taken to ensure a consistent mixture, as improper blending can affect performance in high-stress environments like garages.
Step 4: Application of the Epoxy
The epoxy was poured and spread using a notched squeegee, then back-rolled for uniformity. Special attention was given to ramps and turning areas, where tire friction is highest. Each coat was applied evenly to ensure a seamless, slip-resistant surface.
Step 5: Curing & Inspection
After 24 to 48 hours of curing, each section was inspected for proper adhesion, smooth finish, and flexibility. The garage reopened on schedule with a floor ready for constant vehicle traffic.
