Arctic Freezite™ Common Questions (FAQ)

Does Arctic-Freezite™ have an odor? We want to fill in some holes in the floor and can’t shut down the freezer that shelves food stuffs. We need a product that does not have an odor when applying.

Arctic-Freezite™ is 100% solids epoxy and zero VOC’s with low odor so it is safe to apply around food stuffs.

Can I use Arctic Freezite™ in the threshold area exiting the freezer? The temperature goes from 10°F to 70°F around the threshold.

Arctic Freezite™ can be used at any temperature, it will just set up faster at warmer temperatures. We have customers that use it for a fast turnaround option at 70°F - you can run heavy traffic over it in an hour.

How much time do you have to apply the Arctic Freezite™ since it is fast set?

Once it is mixed it is best to pour the material onto the floor right away so you have more time to work with material. The pot life is 2 minutes (material left in pail) @ 70°F

Can Arctic Freezite™ be used as a cove up the wall?

Arctic Freezite™ can be used in the wall and floor joint but cannot be used up the wall as a cove. If a cove is required, you can use the Treflite™ Cove Mortar which is designed to go up to 6" high on the wall. In freezer area's, the freezer would have to be shut down and brought up to a minimum of 60°F for curing.
