Control joints are an extremely important part of any concrete floor. In this baking facility, there are many repairs to be made such as patching as well as repairing and filling voids, cracks & joints.

JOINT-GUARD™ is a flexible epoxy‑urethane hybrid designed for filling expansion and control joints in concrete surfaces subject to heavy or industrial traffic. It supports steel‑wheel loads, maintains flexibility, and is self‑leveling—perfect for joints that experience movement but still need strength.

Step By Step Guide

  1. Clean thoroughly: Remove all dust, debris, oil, and curing compounds. Use mechanical abrasion or sandblasting to create a clean bonding surface.
  2. Ensure dryness: Joints should be dry before application, although slight moisture tolerance exists.
  3. Mix the Components: Joint‑Guard™ includes two parts: a black Part A and a white Part B. Mix in equal volumes until you achieve a uniform gray color. Use a slow-speed drill with a mixing paddle and mix only what can be used within the pot life (about 15–20 minutes at 75°F).
  4. Apply the Joint Filler: This is a self-leveling application, so you can pour the mixture directly into the joint. Fill slightly above the surface to allow for shrinkage. For deeper joints, backer rod may be used to reduce material waste.
  5. Allow to Cure: Allow 16–24 hours of cure time at 70°F before opening to foot or vehicle traffic. If necessary, shave flush with a razor scraper after curing for a smooth, even finish.

With JOINT‑GAURD™, you get a strong, flexible joint repair system built for heavy-duty performance. Whether you're protecting warehouse floors or commercial surfaces, this product ensures durability and long-lasting protection.
